Some skeletal and habitual problems are known to cause moderate to severe malocclusions. Treating these problems before the usual age for braces can result in better long term results and or shorter treatment time in braces. Crossbite, crowding, thumb sucking and other oral habits, and premature tooth loss are some of the conditions which are amenable to this type of interceptive treatment. . |
